Hello Design Peeps!
It’s been a hot minute and I’ve missed you all. Going to share with you how to say Bye Bye Boring Brown on my recently completely guest bathroom refresh. I’ll show you the steps I took and how to keep the budget under control, but still maintaining the Wow factor.
The bathroom before
It’s a nice size space and very functional, but lacked style and was just plain boring!
The Plan
So I put a list together of necessary updates to minimize the brown!
Lighten up the walls with SW shoji white paint.
Paint the vanity with chalk paint because it covers wood easily. I used SW rainwashed.
Update the countertop using a remnant piece of quartz from the local slab yard.
Replace the light fixture, mirror, sink and faucet.
Install new backsplash with left over tile material from my kitchen project.
Execute the Design
$400 remnant piece of quartz that included fabrication (cutting) and install
$8 light light fixture from Habitat Restore, spray painted black
$10 hardware pulls from Big Lots
$50 mirror from Lowe’s
$90 sink from Lowe’s
$100 faucet from Home Depot
Free backsplash tile (Installation $200)
$50 Handyman and I gave him my old countertop with sink & faucet
The Results
The completed bathroom refresh
I put a few finishing touches on the project, because that’s what we do!
